Apart from seeing the awe inspiring 35 metre high structure with your own eyes, on one of our exciting boat trips, there are plenty of activities on offer to keep you busy all day! The Falkirk Wheel acts as the gateway to Scotland’s Lowland canal network and is the place where the Forth & Clyde Canal meets the Union Canal. With acres of outdoor space, there is a lot to do and explore including our visitor centre, children’s play area, relaxing canal side strolls, gentle woodland walks, wildlife spotting, and the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Rough Castle Roman Fort and Antonine Wall.
